S9 Clipping Squad briefing
When the S9 update goes live we have over 100 creators streaming at once, which is more than the internal team can watch. This is how we split them up: you claim a couple of creators, watch them through the launch, and drop the clips here. Everything you do on this site writes straight into the tracking spreadsheet.
Claim 1-2 creators
Before the deadline below. First come, first served. Up to two of us per creator.
Watch when the update lands
Dip in around the moments that matter. You are not expected to sit through the whole stream.
Submit clips as you capture them
One clip per feature, showing the creator's genuine reaction. Paste the link here and it lands in the sheet.

⚙️ Ground rules
- Creators come from our internal creator mapping. You assign yourself, first come first served.
- If you speak a language other than English, prioritise creators who do not stream in English. Those are the ones we cover worst.
- 1-2 creators each for the launch window.
- The only metric that matters is quality clips, not how long you spend watching.
- Aim for one clip per feature, catching the creator's genuine reaction.
- If a creator is not naturally talking through a feature, a light nudge in chat like “ooh what's that new feature?” is fine, but keep it to a minimum so it does not come across as bugging them.
💰 Payout
2,000 FPper clip
up to 40,000 FP each
- 40,000 FP is the ceiling per person, which is 20 clips.
- If more than one person submits the same moment, only the first one posted gets paid, so submit as you capture.
- Creator Partnerships reviews everything at the end of the launch window and pays out accordingly.
🎯 What to clip
One quality clip per feature, per creator. Optional slots are a bonus.
❓ FAQ
Who is this for?+
FACEIT MVPs, volunteers, and FACEIT staff covering the S9 launch. Pick the one that applies to you when you enter your details, since it decides which block of the Clippers sheet you land in.
I work at FACEIT. Can I take part?+
Yes, and please do. Claiming and submitting work exactly the same for staff, plus staff get a backlog on the submit page for filing clips from creators they are not assigned to.
How many creators can I claim?+
Between 1 and 2. Up to 2 people can cover the same creator, so a busy stream gets a backup, but spread out where you can, coverage is the whole point.
What happens when assignment closes?+
The claim page locks one hour before the update goes live, so we know exactly who is watching what before launch. Clip submission stays open through the whole launch window.
Do I have to watch the entire stream?+
No. The only metric that matters is quality clips, not watch time. Dip in around the moments that matter.
How much do I earn?+
2,000 FP per clip, up to 40,000 FP per person. That cap works out to 20 clips, which is a little under the 22 slots two creators give you, so you can hit it without filling every single one.
Do I have to type my name and email every time?+
No. You enter them once and they are stored in your browser, then every claim and clip submission uses them automatically. Click your name in the top bar to change them or sign out. Use the same browser throughout, or re-enter the same email elsewhere and everything links back up.
Two of us clipped the same moment. Who gets paid?+
Whoever submitted first. The timestamp on every submission is recorded, so submit as you capture rather than saving them all for the end.
My creator is not reacting to a feature. Can I ask them in chat?+
A light nudge like “ooh what's that new feature?” is fine, but keep it to a minimum. It should never come across as bugging the creator.
I speak a language other than English. Which creators should I take?+
Please prioritise creators who do not stream in English. Those are the streams our internal team can cover least well, and the language filter on the claim page will help you find them.
The creator I want has no Twitch link listed.+
Some creators in our mapping have no channel on file yet. You can still claim them. Use the filter to hide them if you would rather only see creators with a confirmed channel, and flag any link you know in your squad channel.
What is the backlog?+
A place for FACEIT staff to file clips from creators they are not assigned to. If you are watching a stream nobody claimed and something great happens, it goes there rather than being lost. Backlog clips live in their own tab of the sheet and are not shown to the rest of the squad.
Can I swap a creator after claiming?+
Yes, while assignment is still open. Release the creator from the claim page and they go straight back into the pool for someone else.
How do I actually make a Twitch clip?+
Hit the clip button under the player, or press Alt+X (Option+X on Mac), trim to the moment, and publish. Paste the resulting clips.twitch.tv link into the submit page.
When do I get paid?+
The Creator Partnerships team reviews every submission at the end of the launch window and pays out accordingly.
